1. File processing

All file operations — compression, conversion, cropping, resizing, merging, splitting — are performed locally using browser APIs. Your files are loaded into browser memory, processed, and made available for download. They are not transmitted over the internet to any server at any point.

When you close your browser tab or navigate away, all file data is cleared from memory. Vakru retains no copies of any file you process.

2. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. This collects anonymised usage data — pages visited, tools used, session duration, and general location (country level). We also log basic, non-identifying file metadata (such as file name and size in MB) so we can measure tool performance and reliability. The actual contents of your files are never read, uploaded, or included in analytics — all processing happens locally in your browser. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.

3. Local storage

Vakru uses your browser's local storage to track daily usage for the free tier. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for vakru.com.

4. Cookies

We use minimal cookies required for Google Analytics. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing cookies. We do not sell any data to third parties.

5. Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Vakru after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
